Do ghosts hear, see after death?
Before writing on this topic, lets quickly read through my experience with my granny after his death in 2001.
Granny died in 2001 i was younger then. He was a staunch catholic who faithfully practiced his faith and also a good man. Granny was so trustworthy that he became treasurer of almost all the religious society he belonged. To be specific, he was manning over the treasures of six different societies.
In 2001 granny died after recovering from a mild sickness but he died without disclosing to anyone where he kept the funds of these societies. probably he never saw his death coming. Of course who would have believed he would die because he just recovered and was very strong but all of a sudden he died. Doctor said he died of low sugar, well that is a discussion for another time.
As a typical African man, i learned that treasures are usually buried but the question is, where did he bury the funds of these societies. This became a huge problem as these various societies cluster to collect their money.
No record was found, no money was found as well. That night, granny’s first son who is my uncle had a dream where granny took him to the farm and started showing him where he buried all the funds of the religious societies he belonged. moreover, my uncle had already told the societies to comeback the next day to sort things out with him as the funds were missing.
My uncle woke up, looked at the time it was around 5:00am. The dream was so real and fresh in his head so he took his torch and went into the farm with the exact direction from the dream. He was amazed that he dug up all the funds and records from different locations of the farm in accordance to granny’s direction in the dream. Behold, instead of shortage, there were excesses in the funds. All society happily took their funds.
Do ghosts really hear, see after death?
My answer is yes, even though there is no scientific proof or agreement on the existence of ghosts, many paranormal belief systems suggest ideas that ghosts can possibly see or hear.
Let us consider the following
1. According to traditional ghost folklore, ghosts are often seen as having the capability of perceiving the living in at least some visual manners, Although their senses may operate differently from ours who are living.
2. Parapsychological theories about ghosts having non-material or extra-dimensional consciousness could depict that ghosts don’t depend on biological sense organs to perceive. Their minds might decode surroundings through psychic impressions, telepathy with the living, reading energy signatures, or a perception of reality humans can’t possibly understand.
3. Some psychic mediums claim that in medium-ship sessions, they see ghosts visually in apparition form or notice the visible actions of ghosts in disrupting objects. However, there is little scientific proof that these medium experiences contain real perception of supernatural entities.
4. According to the Skeptics, there is no strong evidence to suggest disembodied minds or spirits of the dead that could see or perceive the living after death. However, Apparition, medium experiences and ghostly encounters have alternative psychological or physical explanations according to scientific proof or agreement.
Conclusion
This topic raises interesting questions about the nature of perception and human consciousness. But we need more research using scientific methods to determine if ghost sightings reflect some objective reality, or remain an unproven fact. If this be the case, It remains an article of faith or interpretation rather than something conclusively demonstrated.
