The office of the hardworking Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon. Chief (Sir) Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Idemili) was a beehive of activities as he interacts, receives and welcomes so many individuals and groups who are ready and prepared to partner him in his bid to ensure that Governor Chukwuma Soludo did not just win Idemili North but, with a wide margin and as well make APGA the only party in the Council area.
Receiving the members of Solution Frontiers led by Hon. Chief A. A. Anagu (Ichie Ezeaputa Umuoji), the Chief Servant of Idemili North announced that he was highly delighted that they were coming into the party at this material time to help, work, and deliver Soludo come 2025 Gubernatorial election, describing them as seasoned politicians and great mobilizers, asking them to match their words with action.
Chief Nkwoka enjoined members of Solution Frontiers to work towards actualizing the mandate of having a liveable, mega, smart and prosperous Idemili North, emphasizing that the good works of the Governor scattered all over the State had made it easier for the party and stakeholders to operate, saying that the State’s Number One Citizen had done so well in the areas of healthcare delivery, building and equipping hospitals, improving the education system, building of durable roads, employment of quality teachers and health officers; empowering of over 5,000 youths through his One Youth Two Skills Initiative, beautification and protection of the environment, prompt payment of salaries, gratuities and pensions, among others.
Ochendo Idemili charged the group to go into their various wards and Communities and spread the message of Solution, saying that Governor Soludo’s re-election bid should be driven by all and sundry, assuring them of a level playing ground as well as the opportunity to ply their trades and expertise, adding that they would be accommodated and hugely rewarded.
‘Let me make this clear. I have a singular mandate to carry out, that’s to make Idemili North great and ensure that we return our amiable and working Governor. I am not mincing words when I say I am here to carry out the Governor’s directive which is to work for Ndi Idemili.
‘Few days into my assumption of office many opposition party strong members started decamping and joining the Party of the moment. I will reach out to the party stakeholders in Idemili North and see how we can give you all a rousing reception. They are coming in to help grow and strengthen APGA, the party to beat any time any day in Anambra State.
‘Other major opposition party members are ready to decamp and we are ready to welcome them into our fold. We want a formidable and indivisible APGA. We want to go into this coming election with one voice and forge a common front. I will not do it alone. I need the support of all the key actors, stakeholders and players. All of you here will get your reward for working for the party and for joining hands with the stakeholders to re-elect Governor Chukwuma Soludo. You will be given your deserved reward in due course,’ Chief Nkwoka assured.
Speaking during the meeting with the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North, the leader of the group, Hon A. A. Anagu said they were in his office to identify with him and as well informed him about their preparedness and desire to work for and with the party, stating that they forsee a one party system here in Idemili North in the nearest future, adding that they have members in all the wards and polling unit in Anambra State and that those around were picked to represent the Association.
‘The day we were received in Awka. We were there in our numbers. We made the Governor happy. Here, we have LG party Chairmen and pass and present opposition party executives including labour party present LG exco here with us. We are here today to be embraced and welcome to APGA. We want to contribute our quota towards developing the party and ensuring that Governor Chukwuma Soludo wins re-election landslide,’ Ichie Ezeaputa Umuoji assured.
In a vote of thanks, the former PDP Chairman, Hon. Uzo Epundu commended the TC Chairman for the warm reception and for giving them a listening ear as well as promising to absorbed them.
For his part, Hon Nonso Ekpunobi expressed delight with the way and manner the Chairman spoke and welcomed them.
